East Bay 'Job Hunters' Network

NEXT TUESDAY MEETING = 1/8/08 We are a 'grassroots' effort to help anyone in search for information, resources and support to find a new job, change jobs or redirect a personal, professional or financial lifestyle. (also see bayareajobhunters.co m for more info). NOTE: this meetup.com location is also used to schedule and manage our monthly network meetings, trainings, classes, job fairs and events. And when attending any event, you will meet group organizer Don Marx of Oakland who is also a professional job and career coach and vocational counselor (former employment manager and interviewer) and is available for one-on-one consults. EVENTS: 2nd Tuesday network meetings, 7:30 to 9 pm with pre-announced topics of presentation and discussion (members can bring resumes for 'free' personal review and assessment). Once a month, on the 4th Tuesday and 3rd Saturday, the network offers small 'job and career' classes that are open to anyone at the low cost of $35 for 2.5-hours (network members get $10 discount or $25). Our FREE '2nd Tuesday of the Month' network support meeting is scheduled for January 8, 2008 from 7:30 to 9 pm at the home-office of organizer don in oakland.
The topic for this meeting is 'HOW TO RECESSION PROOF YOUR JOB'. We start on time at 7:45 pm with introductions, get an overview of the network from don, present the topic of the nite and then open up to the group for questions and sharing. Read more
